IF we won the Europa League, where would the open top bus parade go from/to?
Seeing as we don’t play at Upton Park anymore.

Along Stratford High St?

The Champions League and Europa League spots for the winners of the next lower competitions are accounted for aside from those based on the national competitions.

So Italy could in theory have 2 extra European places next year.

But only in theory as we will have one.

They are no mugs, for that price they'd want a roof on it, they wouldn't pay out for something unfinished.

If we win this, what happens to the league place qualification for whoever finishes fifth?

I live in Hornchurch 'East London' maybe the parade can start here and finish at Romford Town Hall (if there is one?)

Open Top bus will cost approx. £800 to hire for a half a day.

I can't see our owners paying that

I would guess a jaunt round the Olympic Park and the stadium.

There were over half a million when we beat Arsenal. But the FA Cup is much bigger than this one.Lets be honest, everyone is having a good jolly,we will get into Eurpa League by winning it and happy days, but its not exactly going to be hard to win.Dont think there will be as many there as 1980..

Yeah I was talking about Newham more than Dagenham.

And whilst there may be more part timers at the bowl are they going to turn up to a parade? I'm presuming a huge amount of those at the 80 parade were locals who didn't necessarily go to matches but had some affinity for the club? That doesn't really exist the same way in Newham now.

''There’s more West Ham fans in London nowadays than there possibly ever has been.''

I don't know about that, but there are def more people getting interested and going over there etc. I see on Facebook and from other sources that people I knew when I was living in the UK that never went West Ham in my day are now going over there, it always takes me aback when I see this, like wtf since when have you been WH?? I had a cousin text me out the blue a while ago saying he's off over to the bowl and COYI etc, I don't even remember him talking about football or WH before. This is just folk that I know.

I suspect health & safety has changed a bit since the last time. Rather than having an open top bus didn't they place tables under the skylights on a Lacey's coach and stick their upper torsos through the gaps? Plus that balcony, if you can call it that, at East Ham Town Hall or wherever it was looked a bit dodgy on the telly. Sure it wasn't made for an entire team to stand on!

There’s more West Ham fans London nowadays than there possibly ever has been.

You can thank the stadium move for that. More affordable football, and closer to the heart of London.

Just as long as there are lines of high-viz, stop/go stewards every 50 yards or so along the route, stopping and re-starting the bus for an air of true authenticity.

"Virtually none of our fans are now in east London"

Really, I don't think so. I'm in East London, so is my daughter, so is my son, so is my grandson, so is his mates, so is my mate.

There are thousands in East London. Don't forget East London stretches out as far as Upminster, Harold Wood etc.

Re: IF we won the Europa League, where would the open top bus parade go from/to?
Virtually none of our fans are now in east London. Would we get a decent turnout if we had it between East Ham and Stratford? For the Conference League? I can't see it.

But then we don't own the stadium so I presume we couldn't have a celebration there unless we paid £100k or whatever the match day fee is
